International trade and economic policy
International trade and economic policy gives you a sound understanding of the economic basis to trade and the institutions and market structures that underpin global commerce.
Undergraduate
International trade and economic policy is offered as a major in the Bachelor of Commerce. Studies examine the economic, political and cultural characteristics of the major trading regions, including North America, Western and Eastern Europe and the Middle East, with particular emphasis on Asian trade. You will gain a background in economics with the focus on international trade that businesses need to be successful in the global economy.
Deakin's Bachelor of Commerce is internationally recognised and EPAS accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). EPAS is an international quality benchmark for business programs worldwide. Deakin is the only Australian university with EPAS accreditation for its Bachelor of Commerce.

Gain experience while you study
Work experience can make all the difference when you graduate and are applying for jobs. You can gain work experience and credit towards your degree with Work Integrated Learning (WIL). The Faculty of Business and Law offers several flexible WIL programs suitable for most students in all disciplines and levels including those from other faculties and universities. These include business internships, community-based volunteering, work-based learning, team-based learning and industry-based learning. Read more.
Postgraduate
International trade and business is offered as a major in Deakin's Master of Commerce. The specialisation provides the opportunity to develop knowledge in this strategically important area and a capability in the analysis and implementation of international trading strategies for business.
