Professional education for the public sector
Public sector studies is offered as a specialisation in the Master of Commerce. The specialisation is ideal if you work in public sector management and other industry sectors such as NGOs, social policy, health or education.
Work-based research projects and internships are available to help you link theory with practice, giving you a global perspective. You may also undertake a second specialisation.
The range of units covers areas such as:
- Public policy analysis
- Policy implementation
- Evaluation of policy
- International and transnational politics
- Intergovernmental relations
- Corporate social responsibility
- Organisational dynamics
- Management communication
Specialising in public sector studies will provide you with a formal qualification to complement your existing professional experience in the public sector. The qualification is also relevant if you are involved in, or seeking to be involved in, policy making and management within the public, community and business sectors, domestically and internationally.
