New to Deakin? There is something you need to know!

Welcome to Deakin University!

All new international students to Deakin University, regardless of whether or not they have been studying in Australia before, will be required to do the compulsory online international student orientation. Information about this will be sent to you in week one of your first trimester and it is expected that you will complete it by week 6.

We know that new students often have a lot of questions about how to prepare for university, so the Get Started site has been built just for you.

Follow the simple steps from 'Enrol' to 'Attend Orientation' to find all you need to know about commencing your study at Deakin, including arriving in Australia, as well as details on your own enrolment and welcome sessions that happen the week before Deakin's orientation program.

We've also included information for your parents that will help them understand how they can support you while you're at Deakin.

Compliance officers are available to help you with a wide range of compliance related matters such as information about your student visa, reporting matters and much more.

Success at University depends on many things. One of the most important factors is adapting quickly to the local culture and environment. The International Student Support Team is here to help you. Your International Student Advisers are an important point of contact on campus and look forward to meeting you when you arrive.

Please note: DUELI students have their own orientation dates.
