Step 11 - Attend orientation

Welcome to Deakin University!

All new international students to Deakin University, regardless of whether or not they have been studying in Australia before, will be required to do the compulsory online international student orientation. Information about this will be sent to you in week one of your first trimester and it is expected that you will complete it by week 6.

It is also important for you to visit the international student "Get Ready" site. You will find information about how to apply for the free airport pickup service and the face-to-face orientation sessions at your campus.

Please ensure that you are aware of your face-to-face orientation details for your campus. We strongly encourage you to attend your face-to-face orientation session.

Compliance officers are available to help you with a wide range of compliance related matters such as information about your student visa, reporting matters and much more.

Success at University depends on many things. One of the most important factors is adapting quickly to the local culture and environment. The International Student Support Team is here to help you. Your International Student Advisers are an important point of contact on campus and look forward to meeting you when you arrive.

Please note: DUELI students have their own orientation dates.
