Australian Awards Scholarships

Australian Awards Scholarships are an important element of the Australian Government's overseas aid program and will continue as a central part of Australian scholarships. These are development scholarships providing citizens of the countries listed with opportunities to obtain tertiary qualifications at Australian tertiary institutions. 

Students are selected from aid-recipient countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Australian Awards Scholarships are for full-time study in Australia towards an undergraduate, postgraduate or technical degree, and covers a return airfare to Australia, academic and other compulsory fees, basic health insurance, establishment allowance and a living allowance.

AusAID Australia Awards Scholarships for Latin America

Australia's international development assistance program in Latin America aims to help people overcome poverty through sustainable economic development. Australia's development assistance program is managed by AusAID and focuses on areas of greatest need and where Australia can make a difference, including food security, rural livelihoods, climate change and natural resource management.

Australian Awards Fellowships

Australian Awards Fellowships are a new regional scholarship and training scheme for future leaders aimed at enhancing mutual understanding, knowledge and innovation and building partnerships within the Asia-Pacific region.

Australia Awards Fellowships will bring approximately 3200 students and fellows to study, train and undertake research in Australia.

Recipients of the Scholarship will be drawn from the public, private and community sectors.

Endeavour Study

Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (EIPRS)

Australian higher education institutions receive funds for Endeavour IPRS based on their research performance to provide scholarships for international students undertaking a higher degree by research (Masters or PhD) in Australia.

EIPRS covers tuition fees and international health insurance costs and a living allowance. Students from all countries except New Zealand are eligible to apply for an IPRS.

Endeavour Postgraduate Awards

Endeavour Postgraduate Awards enable international students to undertake a higher degree in Australia. Awards are up to three years, with an additional semester if English training is required.

The award will include a travel allowance, establishment allowance, stipend and tuition fees. The geographic scope of the award is from Jordan in the west to Japan in the east to Papua New Guinea and the South Pacific.

Endeavour Asia Awards

Endeavour Asia Awards enable international students to undertake a higher degree in Australia (Masters or PhD) or research in Australia towards a higher degree in their home country.

Awards are open to all fields of study, and funding is towards the first year of study only.

Applicants are invited from India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Endeavour Research

Endeavour Research Fellowships

Endeavour Research Fellowships enable postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows from the Asia-Pacific region to undertake research for four to six months in Australia and for Australians to do the same within the region.

Awards are open to all fields of study, and includes a travel allowance, establishment allowance and stipend.

Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Awards

The Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Awards allow postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows from the Asia-Pacific region to undertake research for four to six months in Australia and for Australians to do the same within the region.

Research proposals should benefit the further development of social and economic environments of Asia and Australia.

The award will include a travel allowance, establishment allowance and stipend.

Endeavour Professional

The Endeavour Executive Awards

The Endeavour Executive Awards provide professional development opportunities for high achievers in business, industry, education and government from eligible countries and Australia.

Awards will include a travel allowance, establishment allowance and stipend.

The geographic scope of the award is from Jordan in the west to Japan in the east to Papua New Guinea and the South Pacific.

Endeavour Language Teacher Fellowships

Endeavour Language Teacher Fellowships improve language teachers' skills, knowledge and understanding of the languages and cultures they teach. These skills are passed on to their colleagues and students. The visits also strengthen links between schools in Australia and participating countries.

Endeavour Language Teacher Fellowships for Practicing Teachers

Endeavour Language Teachers Fellowships are for Australian language teachers to undertake a three-week language and cultural program in the country of the language they teach.

Eligible languages are those among the ten most popular at Australian schools including Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian and Arabic.
