Down Under Camp 2014
Adjusting to life in a new country can be a challenge and knowing this, the Malaysia Student Council of Australia held the first Down Under Camp in Malaysia for students heading to Australia.
Held over two days, the camp hosted roughly 150 new students and 80 current students for a weekend of activities and information aimed at preparing local Malaysian students for study in Australia. The camp's activities included a general briefing on life as a student in Australia, a Q & A session for parents and pre-departure briefing.
The camp also featured a panel discussion that talked about issues participants going to Australia might experience including identity, financial responsibility, time management and goal setting.
Deakin University supports this camp and is proud to be associated with the Malaysia Student Council of Australia.
