Deakin University and MIBT are offering you the opportunity to hear and ask questions of our senior staff and program leaders at the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.

Eight academics teaching in the range of popular disciplines studied by Sri Lankan students will deliver talks covering program content, career opportunities, learning format and research opportunities. Relevant Deakin academics will present on: Media and Communications, Public Relations, IT, Engineering, Nursing, Accounting and Finance, Law, Psychology and Health.

Future students and parents can register below to attend up to 4 free sessions.

Each speaker will present for 40 minutes on their discipline area, and will be available to answer your questions and discuss your plans.

Deakin and Sri Lanka

Deakin is one of Australia's leading universities, one of its fastest growing research intuitions and for 15 years has been a popular choice for Sri Lankan students.

More than 2000 Sri Lankan students have studied at Deakin since 1997. In a way, they are local as there is a large and vibrant Sri Lankan community in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, close to the Deakin campus at Burwood. Many Sri Lankans also study Engineering and IT at out Waurn Ponds Campus in Geelong, and foundation and diploma pathways MIBT, at both Melbourne and Geelong, are also very popular.

Deakin benefits partnerships with Sri Lankan Institutes including ACBT, IIHS, Royal Colombo Institute, SLIIT across a range of disciplines. We currently have 96 registered alumni and 16 in-country representatives mainly based in and around Colombo and some in Kandy.
