A.L. Lane Foundation Access Scholarship


If you are commencing your studies in Trimester 1, 2014, come from the south-west Victoria region and come from a financially disadvantaged background, you should consider applying for this scholarship to cover your accommodation costs if you are living on residences at Warrnambool campus.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:

  • an Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • a commencing student, enrolled full time in an undergraduate bachelor degree at the Warrnambool campus in a Commonwealth supported place
  • a resident of the south-west Victoria region, for more than 2 years
  • able to demonstrate you are in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink benefit or have  a combined family taxable income below the HECS-HELP repayment threshold, depending on independence status

Selection criteria

Your application will be assessed and ranked based on the information you provide in your application and supporting documentation.

How to apply

You must complete an online application via the Deakin Course and Scholarship Applicant Portal by the closing date.

Supporting documentation

As part of the application process you will be required to provide supporting documentation.

Your supporting documentation must be provided prior to the closing date of 10 April 2014 and uploaded as part of your application via the Deakin Course and Scholarship Applicant Portal.

Prior to the submission of your scholarship application and the closing date, you will be able to re-enter your online scholarship application at any time to upload your documents.  You can use the 'Upload Documents' option at the top on the application page to submit your documentation.

Applications open 27 February 2014 and have been extended until 5pm, 10 April 2014.
