Deakin Academic Scholarships

If you are a high-achieving student and completed your VCE in 2013, the Deakin Academic Scholarship may be for you. This scholarship aims to assist students with the financial costs of further education.

Value

Total value $7 500 per year, combination of cash and student contribution available

Duration

Normal duration of the course, subject to satisfactory academic performance.

Number per year

Four (one per Faculty)

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:

  • an Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • enrolling in the first year of an undergraduate course of study in Trimester 1 2014 for the first time at Deakin University
  • enrolled full-time in a Commonwealth Supported Place

Selection criteria

You must be a top VCE student in 2013 enrolling full time in an undergraduate degree course at Deakin University in a Commonwealth supported place.  The student with the highest ATAR score receiving a Round 1 course offer, per faculty, will be awarded this scholarship.

Special conditions

You must remain on the same campus for the duration of the course.

How to apply

VTAC course applicants are automatically considered for this scholarship. A separate scholarship application form is not required.

Closing date

Applications for Trimester 1 2014 are based on the VTAC course application date.

Timely applications close 27 September 2013.
