Deakin Indigenous Bursaries

The Deakin Indigenous Bursaries aim to reduce the fees (student contributions) paid by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, enrolled in their first 8 credit points of their undergraduate degree.

What are the benefits for you? $250 per credit point (up to $2000 maximum value) on student contributions.

First 8 credit points of study on commencement (equivalent to one year of full-time study).

Eligibility criteria

All conditions must be met

  • an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
  • a commencing student enrolled for the first time at Deakin University in your first year of your undergraduate bachelor degree 
  • enrolled full time or part time in a Commonwealth supported place
  • enrolled to study at the Institute of Koorie Education (IKE).
