Deakin Indigenous Bursaries

The Deakin Indigenous Bursaries aim to reduce the student contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in their first 8 credit points by 20 per cent.

Value

Payment of 20 per cent of the student contributions for the student's first 8 credit points of study for non-National Priority units.

Duration

First 8 credit points of study on commencement (equivalent to one year of full-time study).

Number per year

All students satisfying the eligibility and selection criteria.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:

  • a commencing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student in a Commonwealth supported place
  • enrolled in your first 8 credit points of your course.

Selection criteria

Enrolled to study at the Institute of Koorie Education

No separate application is required.  This scholarship is automatically awarded based on eligibility and course enrolment.
