Platinum Asset Management Scholarships
Platinum Asset Management is an Australian based fund manager which specialises in investing in international equities. The scholarship will assist students studying in their second or third year of their Bachelor Commerce majoring in Financial Planning degree at Deakin University. At the completion of your studies, you will also be given the opportunity to apply to gain one month's paid work experience in Sydney in association with the Neilson Foundation and Platinum Asset Management.
Total value of the scholarship is up to $15 000 cash payment for one year.

Two (1 for second year student and 1 for third year student)
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- be an Australian citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
- be a student enrolled full time in the Bachelor of Commerce and majoring in Financial Planning, and in a Commonwealth supported place
- be in your 2nd or 3rd year of your degree
- have a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65 in the year prior to the scholarship
Your application will be assessed and ranked based on the information you provide in your application and supporting documentation. As part of your application, you will be required to provide a statement of how the scholarship will assist your studies and career goals.
How to apply
You must complete an online application via the Deakin Course and Scholarship Applicant Portal by the closing date.
As part of the application process you will be required to provide supporting documentation.
Your supporting documentation must be provided prior to the closing date of 14 March 2014 and uploaded as part of your application via the Deakin Course and Scholarship Applicant Portal.
Prior to the submission of your scholarship application and the closing date, you will be able to re-enter your online scholarship application at any time to upload your documents. You can use the 'Upload Documents' option at the top on the application page to submit your documentation.
Applications open 27 February 2014 and close 5pm, 14 March 2014.
