Associate Degree of Arts, Business & Sciences
Introducing school leavers and non-school leavers to university study in a supported tertiary environment.
The Associate Degree is a two-year, full-time (or part-time equivalent) course that is part of the Deakin at Your Doorstep initiative. It can be taken at our Warrnambool or Geelong Waurn Ponds campuses, or at other rural and regional locations with our TAFE partners.

* Students wanting to enter the Bachelor of Education (Primary) must also undertake a STAT to ensure they meet the numeracy standards specified by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.

Deakin campuses
You can study the Associate Degree at two Deakin campuses: Warrnambool and Geelong Waurn Ponds.

Warrnambool campus
Deakin's Warrnambool Campus is set on the banks of the picturesque Hopkins River, close to local surf beaches and popular tourist attractions.
The campus is a friendly, close-knit community, with a personal and informal relationship between students and staff.
Geelong Waurn Ponds campus
Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus is located on the western edge of Geelong, with expansive landscaped grounds and extensive sporting facilities.

TAFE partners
If you choose to study the Associate Degree through one of our TAFE partners, you are required to undertake a TAFE diploma as part of your studies (unless you have an existing relevant TAFE diploma). The diploma options available depend on the TAFE you choose to study at.
Chisholm (Dandenong and Mornington Peninsula)
Dandenong Campus
As one of Chisholm's largest campuses, Chisholm Dandenong is home to students from a range of cultures and backgrounds, which adds to the richness and diversity of the campus. The Campus is located close to shopping centres, cafes and recreational areas.
Mornington Peninsula Campus
Chisholm's Morning Peninsula Campus at Rosebud offers outstanding facilities to students, such as industry relevant information technology, business and accounting equipment, a simulated office environment and computer training facilities.

GOTAFE (Wangaratta)
GOTAFE aims to assist individuals to gain skills and knowledge to obtain employment or further their career aspirations. The Wangaratta Campus is a hub of training in North East Victoria offering students a friendly relaxed study atmosphere and services, including a counsellor, a Disability Liaison Officer and a Youth and Student Services Officer.

- Fill in the Associate Degree application form (PDF, 195.1 KB) or apply via the Deakin Applicant Portal.
- Submit the form, or complete your online application.
- Deakin will contact you regarding attending an information session and completing a literacy exercise.

Scholarships for 2013
A $1,000 Learning and Development Scholarship is offered at each of the eight locations for each year. Applications are now open and close on 15 March 2013.
