Guaranteed entry pathways are available to students who have completed, or are about to complete, a pathway Diploma or Advanced Diploma at The Gordon. The guaranteed entry pathways that are available are listed in the table below.

Guaranteed Entry applications for Trimester 1, 2017 are available to students who will be completing one of the TAFE courses listed below by December 2016, or have completed one in the last 15 months. Please use the form available here to make a guaranteed entry application for Trimester 1, 2017.

Diploma of Nursing Pathway

Students who were enrolled in The Gordon's Diploma of Nursing (HLT51612) in 2015, or commenced in Semester 1 2016, are eligible to make a guaranteed entry application for Trimester 1, 2017. (Students enrolled in the Diploma after this time will not be able to make guaranteed entry applications. Please see http://www.deakin.edu.au/study-at-deakin/apply for other application options.)

Successful completion of the Diploma of Nursing AND Ranked in the top 10 of the annual graduating cohort at the Gordon AND Registered or eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

Credit for Prior Learning

Deakin also offers a wide range of credit for prior learning to The Gordon graduates. any students complete the first part of the program at The Gordon, then transfer to Deakin University to complete their degree.

Deakin welcomes applications for credit from all TAFE courses. Even if your course isn't listed, you can still apply to Deakin and be offered credit for your studies. You can also apply for CPL if you have significant work experience in your chosen area of study.
