Teaching and Learning Forum

Teaching and Learning Forum

The Teaching and Learning Forum (TLF) is a regular gathering of staff from across Deakin University who are interested in enhancing teaching and learning. The TLF builds on a number of previous entities, including, most recently, the Teaching Leaders' Forum.

The TLF is located within the Higher Education Research Group (HERG) and is coordinated by a small organising and advisory group. The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) provides funding support for TLF events and publications.

The aims of the TLF are to:

  • promote good practice by connecting teaching and learning research, scholarship and practice through facilitated discussion of current topics and the dissemination of good practice guides and Key Points.
  • be an accessible repository of expertise and mentorship to Deakin staff, available to Faculties, Schools and bodies across Deakin
  • contribute to the work of relevant University committees and working parties on teaching and learning issues
  • act as a lobby group on teaching and learning issues
  • lift the profile of teaching and learning internally and externally.

All Deakin staff are welcome to attend TLF events.
