Held at the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus, our 2020 seminar is a must for those wishing to get a taste of the Geelong lifestyle – a mix of city and regional living.

If you're not from the Geelong area, take advantage of our free bus departing from Deakin's Melbourne Burwood Campus.

Workshop 1

A day of fire and ice


Basic chemistry concepts are a core part of many science-based disciplines. Join our scientists as they demonstrate fundamental chemistry principles in a fun, visual and delicious manner.

Media, communication and creative arts

Communication graduates have an edge in the job market as the value for knowledge and communication skills increases globally. Hear from a panel of current and past students, academics and professional staff members about what makes our health sciences degree unique and how it prepares students for a vast range of careers in the largest industry in Australia. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any burning questions and find out everything you need to know about careers in health.

Combine studies in psychology with HR and marketing

Business, Psychology

Apply behavioural insights and data-driven science to solve business problems with Deakin’s two new courses combining studies in psychology with marketing or human resource management.

With a Bachelor of Marketing (Psychology), students learn about the psychological science behind consumer behaviour and use these insights to create influential marketing and communication strategies. The Bachelor of Human Resource Management (Psychology) develops a deep understanding of human behaviour, the challenges faced when working in HR and prepares graduates for the evolving world of business.

This session covers an overview of both courses and insights into the graduate skillsets in demand across many industries.

Workshop 3

Tour our health facilities

Health sciences and allied health, Sport

Visit our state-of-the-art REACH building, home to our medical imaging labs, optometry practice, exercise and sport science lab. Tour these spaces led by our current students and learn about medical imaging techniques, our 3D simulation optometry machine, and our industry-standard sport science equipment.

CADET tour


Tour Deakin's Centre for Advanced Design in Engineering Training (CADET) building and immerse yourself in the facilities that provide our engineering students with hands-on experience with some of the most exciting technology in Australia.
