Join Professor David Cross, Associate Professor Cameron Bishop and curator James Lynch as they discuss Venetian Blind – the latest exhibition from the Deakin University Art Gallery. Venetian Blind is the University's largest international public art exhibition which was also displayed at the 58th Venice Biennale. Originally held at the European Cultural Centre in 2019, the exhibition featured 23 Australian and New Zealand artists. Deakin's exhibition offers a re-staging of the original event in Venice.
The exhibition is curated by Professor David Cross and Associate Professor Cameron Bishop from Deakin’s School of Communication and Creative Arts, and is run by the University’s research initiative, the Public Art Commission.
Deakin University Art Gallery reopens on Wednesday 10 February for the launch of Venetian Blind, which runs from Wednesday 10 February–Wednesday 10 March 2021.
