Message from the Vice-Chancellor (dKin Times alumni newsletter - July 2019)

I am pleased to introduce you to dKin Times and my first edition of our alumni newsletter since beginning as Deakin’s seventh Vice-Chancellor. It is wonderful to be part of a community that so generously embraces our University and shares our values and aspirations. I have been delighted by the warm welcome I received since writing to our alumni and donors earlier this month. Thank you.

It is a privilege to be part of the Deakin family and I look forward to building on the foundations laid by my predecessors, most recently Professor Jane den Hollander AO.

I hope to meet more of you at our upcoming events, learning about you, our wider alumni community and our University’s place in the world. Alumni are a central part to any university’s story, and I look forward to writing Deakin’s next chapter with you.
