Biography summary
I am a Lecturer in Information Technology Management and also serve as the Course Director of Information Technology Management. I completed my PhD in Electronics, Information & Communication Engineering from Massey University, New Zealand in 2012. During my doctoral studies, I was fortunate to receive a full scholarship from Massey University to pursue research in the Design & Development of Wireless Sensor Network Based Smart Home for Elder Care. My work in this area garnered international recognition, leading to multiple prestigious awards.
Prior to my PhD, I earned my Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India, followed by a Post Graduate degree in Information & Telecommunication Engineering from Massey University, New Zealand.
Throughout my career, I have made significant contributions to various journals, conferences, and book chapters, with an H-index of 17. My research interests span a broad spectrum of topics, including the Internet of Things and cyber-physical systems, federated learning, industry 4.0, cloud computing, smart IoT monitoring systems for health informatics, and the development of Machine Learning techniques for sensor fault detection, outlier detection, and predictive analysis.
Career highlights
- Successfully led the acquisition of principal approval and secured a grant worth AU $68K under the Scheme for Promotion of Academic & Research Collaboration (SPARC), an esteemed initiative by the Government of India.
- Coordinated a successful strategic co-funding grant with Energy Safe Victoria [AU $12K].
- Received the Best Paper Award at an international sensors conference for groundbreaking research on detecting sensor faults, anomalies, and outliers in the Internet of Things.
- Exceptional supervision of research projects resulted in winning the prestigious Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) - iAward.
- Successfully led a project titled "Detecting Sensor Faults and Outliers in the Industrial Internet of Things" in collaboration with the mining industry South32.
- Developed units and courses aligned with current IT industry standards, ensuring students are equipped with relevant and up-to-date knowledge and skills.
