Biography
Dr Aron Hill is a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Psychology, Deakin University and co-lead of the Brain Systems and Neurotherapeutics Lab within the Cognitive Neuroscience Unit.
Aron's research uses a combination of functional brain imaging and non-invasive brain stimulation to better understand brain communication and plasticity in health and disease. A key focus of this work is to advance the development of robust and reliable brain markers and treatments for psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Aron obtained his PhD in Neuroscience from Monash University and has undertaken postdoctoral training at the Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre in Melbourne, and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (University of Toronto) in Canada. He has published over 55 peer-reviewed scientific articles in the fields of cognitive and clinical neuroscience and has co-developed open-source software pipelines for processing functional neuroimaging (EEG) data.
