Dr Bahadorreza Ofoghi is a Lecturer in the Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics in Deakin Business School. Bahadorreza previously worked in different roles in The University of Melbourne where he also had collaborations with the Victorian State Government’s Department of Health and Human Services and the Defense Science and Technology Group in Melbourne. He was previously a Researcher at the National ICT Australia in Melbourne where he worked on the development of health-related information systems. In 2013, he had a short engagement as a Natural Language Research Engineer with Nuance Communication Inc., Canada.

Bahadorreza completed his PhD in Natural Language Question Answering at Federation University, Australia in 2009. He completed his Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in 2002 and his Bachelor in Software Engineering in 1999, both at Azad University, Iran.

Bahadorreza's research has involved text and data mining using machine learning techniques as well as natural language processing applications and theory. He has published journal articles and conference papers on the application of those concepts in the health, sport, and information security domains.
