Biography

Chris Healey is a registered nurse with 33 years’ experience in mental health, including 10 years as a clinical nurse consultant and 9 years as the manager of South West Healthcare’s Mental Health Inpatient Services. Chris commenced his employment with the DRH (formerly GGT UDRH) in August 2013.

Current deliverables are in mental health education and training. Simulation based education on mental health has been provided to the third year Deakin medical cohort in Warrnambool for the past four years and also the PRCC medical cohort. Community engagement activities include the provision of ASIST training and currently the chair of the Fight for Your Life initiative which is a collaboration of multiple services to reduce the rates of suicide in the South West region of Victoria.
