Expertise

I am a writer and artist. My seven-year-old daughter calls me a 'writist' and I think that may be what I am. I like to write in three-dimensions as well as in books: writing as and in sculpture; writing as and in dance; writing that moves. My book, Midnight Water: A Memoir (Picador 2005), was shortlisted for the National Biography Award. My research interests and expertise include creative process and social transformation; creative process and environmental activism; creative process and grief, trauma and despair; creative research.
