Biography

Liz completed her PhD in palaeontology at Deakin University, and is now a lecturer in the School of Life and Environmental Sciences. Liz is also involved in the development of the School's international teaching and research profile in her role as Associate Head of School (International). Liz travels to Wuhan annually to teach in the Sino Foreign Partnership Program with Hubei University.

From 2004-2006 Liz was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at China University of Geosciences, Wuhan. Liz continues to collaborate on research with colleagues there, and at the Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology (CAS). Liz's primary research interests are on the systematics, palaeobiogeography and palaeoecology of Guadalupian (Middle Permian) brachiopods, molluscs and conulariids.
