Biography

Maryam is a PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) and PhD in medicine, with more than 15 years of research experience in natural or synthetic anti-cancer drug development. In 2020, she was awarded the prestigious "Vice-chancellor Alfred Deakin Research Fellowship" at Deakin University to develop the novel immunotherapy nanomedicines, aptamers, for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer brain metastasis.

She has been an organising member of several international pharmaceutical conferences. She has been the guest editor of several Q1 special issues, including "Potential Molecular Targets and Therapeutics in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer" at "Pharmaceuticals, IF: 5.68" journal, "Drug delivery to brain tumours" at "Journal of Personalised Medicine, IF: 4.94" and "Anticancer drugs" at "Frontiers in Bioscience-Landmark, IF: 3.81".
