Research interests

Substantive interests: Body image, obesity, disordered eating, mental health; use of eHealth, smartphone apps, risk modelling, and ESM technology.

My research leverages cutting-edge technologies to enhance allocation, delivery, and client use of established treatments for common and costly public health issues. I use smartphone app-based technology to: (1) identify individual- and environmental-level determinants of mental and physical health, and then (2) deliver intervention content that directly targets these antecedents to poor mental health and lifestyle behaviours. My risk-modeling provides greater precision for determining when to intervene and for whom, thus providing individualized, tailored interventions for individuals at time of greatest need. This approach allows principled, data-driven means for allocating patients to optimal treatment options.
