Dr Michael Johnstone is an Associate Professor with the Institute for Intelligent Systems Research and Innovation at Deakin University. His research is directed toward the improved performance and understanding of large-scale systems, operating with uncertainty and variability, using process simulation, artificial intelligence, and simulation-based optimisation.
