Biography summary

Nantanit (Rainie) is a Research Fellow in Centre for Quality and Patient Safety (QPS) Research - Eastern Health Partnership, School of Nursing and Midwifery at Deakin University. Nantanit is a registered nurse (Thai) and her clinical background is infection prevention and control. Nantanit completed her PhD via the Centre for Quality and Patient Safety Research – Epworth Healthcare partnership, Deakin University in 2018. Her PhD was focused on Antimicrobial Stewardship: A Thai Case Study of Nursing Roles.

Before joining QPS – Eastern Health as a Research Fellow, she gained experiences in both clinical practice and academia from Mahidol University, Thailand. Regarding Nantanit’s clinical experience, she has 20 years of experience working as a registered nurse, infection control nurse specialist, and clinical nurse educator which includes lecturing and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Since completing her PhD in 2018, she has been leading a number of studies related to infection prevention and control, antimicrobial stewardship, patient safety and quality of care.
