Research interests

Dr Gharaie's primary research focus is on the development of biomedical devices for treatment of cardiovascular diseases as well as improving current numerical models for early diagnosis of patients with obstructive coronary artery disease (atherosclerosis).He has expertise in areas of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations of blood flow and in-vitro evaluation of cardiovascular devices.
