What does global reach mean to Deakin?
Deakin aims to create worldly graduates and to engage in global activities, developing knowledge that improves lives and communities. Deakin student and alumni connections currently stretch across more than 125 countries.
How do we create global reach?
The University collaborates with other education providers, industry, governments, communities and professional associations across Australia and internationally.
Through its key divisional areas, the Global Engagement portfolio supports and promotes Deakin to local and international future students, partners, communities and visitors.
At Deakin, being globally connected isn't just something we do; it is at the core of what and who we are.
Professor Iain Martin
We're reaching further globally
You can live outside Australia and still study at Deakin with Cloud Campus. Same degree, global classroom. There are no barriers between our on-campus and online learning environments. In Deakin's Cloud Campus you'll be taught by the same academics as on-campus students.
International Education Provider of the Year
Deakin was named Victoria’s leading Education and Training Provider in the Governor’s Export Awards for three consecutive years (2014, 2015 and 2016).
Deakin also received an award for Excellence in Innovation in Industry Partnerships in the 2015 Victorian International Education Awards. We also won awards for Excellence in Education (University) and Excellence in International Education (Student Employability and Careers).
Offices all around the world
Deakin's offices in South Asia, China, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Latin America connect us globally on a face-to-face level. With authorised Deakin representatives who can answer any questions and help with applications on-site, it's just another way we're reaching a global audience.
