Higher Education Academy (HEA) fellowships

The HEA fellowship scheme provides individuals with international recognition of their practice, impact and leadership of teaching and learning.

The fellowships are increasingly recognised in the higher education sector in Australia and internationally.

Our leaders of learning

Twenty two academic and professional staff were identified as leaders of learning and teaching and participated in the first Deakin University HEA fellowship scheme this year.

They have all received official recognition at the level of Principal Fellow, Senior Fellow or Fellow. This first round was run with the aim of pioneering the scheme at Deakin, and new fellows are currently mentoring participants in the current round.

At Deakin, HEA fellowships will be part of a larger program of professional development for learning and teaching.
