Visit our libraries
We have three libraries in Geelong, all open to the public. At Waurn Ponds, the campus library is located in Building JC. The library at Geelong Waterfront Campus is in the John Hay building.
Our Waterfront campus is also home to the Alfred Deakin Ministerial Library, in the Sally Walker building where members of the public can see exhibitions and access special Australian history and genealogy resources.
Hire our spaces
Hire one of our attractive, flexible spaces for your conference, seminar or special occasion. Our facilities range from a 500-seat lecture theatre to intimate meeting rooms, computer labs and outdoor spaces for film locations.
Other on-campus facilities available for hire include a historic sandstone chapel set on a picturesque lake and the Lakehouse function venue, both located at our Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus.
Enjoy our cafes
All our eateries across both campuses are open to the public. Enjoy outdoor dining at Waurn Ponds with cafes, bistros and licensed bars spread throughout the landscaped grounds.
At Geelong Waterfront, there are two 'grab and go' outlets and the Waterfront Kitchen cafe, a former Victorian Regional Cafe Restaurant Award finalist.
Browse our bookshops
There are DUSA bookshops at both our Geelong campuses. They stock everything you'll need from best-selling novels to stationery and Deakin branded hoodies.
At the Waterfront Campus the bookshop is located on Level 2 of Building D and at our Waurn Ponds Campus you’ll find us in Building jb.
Use our state-of-the-art gym
You'll find the DeakinACTIVE Waurn Ponds Fitness Centre at the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus in Building DA.
Catering for all ages and levels of fitness, the gym is open to the public and offers a wide selection of fitness services including classes, a fully equipped stadium, sports hall, pool tables, table tennis tables, and tennis and squash courts for hire.
Stay at Deakin
Geelong is a great place to visit in the warmer months – so why not come and stay at Deakin, on campus. During summer, our Waurn Ponds campus' two and three-bedroom townhouses and units are available to the public.
With free wi-fi, they're perfect for domestic and international visitors and are conveniently close to our conference centres, DeakinACTIVE gym and sporting grounds.
