Students will on average spend 150 hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.
1 x 2 hour seminar per week and learning experiences via CloudDeakin
Online independent and collaborative learning including 1 x weekly scheduled online seminars (recordings provided). Students must give oral presentation during live blackboard collaborate session at a scheduled time during weeks 7-9.
This unit takes a sociological perspective to the examination of health issues and their determinants. It focuses on the development of knowledge regarding social theory and its applicability to health and wellbeing at an individual, community and population level.
