New technologies also often form the focus of curriculum change and educational reform processes. This unit aims to assist students to enhance their professional practice by developing their understandings of issues that impact on the effective and inclusive use of new technologies in education through a critical examination of the research and professional literature in this area.

Topics to be addressed in this unit include new approaches to curriculum and pedagogy (such as mobile learning and game-based learning), and considerations for inclusive practices (for example, in non-western contexts, in Indigenous contexts, and to support students with special needs).
