Students will on average spend 150 hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.
1 x 2 hour class, 1 x 1 hour seminar per week
1x 2 hour class (recordings provided) + 1 hour online seminar (recordings provided) per week
This unit draws from contemporary theories and functions to provide students with a structured understanding of the strategic role of Human Resources in sustaining the performance of organisations. The unit takes a critical focus on the controversies and challenges involved in managing human resources.
Identify and explain SHRM frameworks, theories, concepts, and processes, and the broader legal context within which SHRM is performed.

Analyse problems and issues that may arise in an organisational context, and based on the application of relevant SHRM frameworks and theories make informed recommendations for the improvement of HRM processes in order to resolve the problems /issues identified.
