Students will on average spend 150 hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.
1 x 2 hour class per week + 1 x 2 hour seminar per fortnight
1 x 2 hour recorded online class per week + 1 x 2 hour online seminar per fortnight
This unit provides students with the theoretical framework and practical skills required of practitioners in the human resource development area of organisations. It identifies the functions of human resource development within the organisation and considers current and future trends, including training and development, career development, and organisational development.
Define, explain and apply HRD theory to the three major HRD functions: training and development, organizational development and career development

Reflect on their own ability to work independently and as a group to identify solutions to HRD problems

Work effectively in a group to design, develop and deliver a training session that conforms to the requirements of HRD practice
