Students will on average spend 150 hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.
1 x 3 hour seminar per week
Online independent and collaborative learning activities including 3 scheduled online seminars
The unit will enable students to understand the modern financial techniques underpinning investment, financing and risk management decisions of multinational corporations. In addition the unit covers international financial markets, international corporate governance, alternative investments, derivative securities and international portfolio management.
Develop and apply a critical understanding of theoretical and practical knowledge in respect to exchange rate regimes, their interrelation with current accounts and capital accounts and the financial operations of business firms (arbitrage, financing, hedging, investment, and speculation) in an environment of open and integrated financial markets
