2022 unit information
For Bachelor of Laws (including combined Law awards) students only
MLL119 and MLL219
Note: Students who have commenced before Trimester 1 2022, and have successfully completed MLL111, are not required to complete MLL119 and MLL219
Students will on average spend 150 hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.
1 x 3 hour class and 1 x 1 hour seminar per week
1 x 3 hour class (recordings provided) and 1 x 1 hour online seminar per week
The unit aims to introduce students to areas of law which, together with contract, regulate commercial relationships and facilitate the conduct of various commercial transactions. Topics include:
Critically analyse principles of commercial law and apply to consumer and commercial transactions.
Use digitally based technologies to locate, evaluate and disseminate information on commercial law issues.

Create solutions to authentic commercial law problems, utilising analytical and critical thinking, applying legal reasoning to generate accurate and relevant responses to the issues.
