Content

This unit assumes no prior knowledge of Indonesian language. In this unit, students will learn beginner level Indonesian by reading, writing and developing an understanding of cultural norms through a focus on social interaction and language for particular contexts. Looking at a variety of social settings provides important insights into Indonesian society. The focus on conversational Indonesian provides a useful basis for understanding daily interactions and engaging native speakers of Indonesian. Students taking this unit will have the opportunity to explore a range of language immersion experiences.
