Students will on average spend 150-hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.

This will include educator guided online learning activities within the unit site.

Content

This unit uses a work-integrated learning approach to develop strategic skills for the writing and allied creative arts sectors. The strategic skills are:

  • pitching self and own arts practice for specified creative industry sector
  • researching, conceptualising and planning projects/applications relevant to given clients and own arts discipline

The emphasis is on the combination of presenting a coherent approach to students’ own creative practice, and demonstrating key industry skills related to real-world projects selected from examples such as small grant, residency or fellowship applications, or creative project/installation proposals.
