Undergraduate

Undergraduate (your first degree)

An undergraduate degree is generally completed between two to four years, depending on the pattern of study and any recognition of prior learning you may have. Associate degrees, bachelor and bachelor with honours are all undergraduate degrees.

Postgraduate

Postgraduate (further study)

A postgraduate qualification can be undertaken by students who have already completed an undergraduate degree or possess significant, demonstrable work experience. Postgraduate courses include graduate certificates, graduate diplomas, masters and PhDs, as well as specialist programs for industry professionals.

Pathways to Deakin

Did you know you can study with Deakin from your home country? Complete part of your studies at a partner institution and earn credit towards a Deakin degree or transfer to postgraduate study in Australia. You can also study on campus in Australia with local students at Deakin College, providing you with a guaranteed pathway to Deakin University.

Undergraduate pathways

Complete the first one to two years of your bachelor degree at a partner university. You will earn credit towards a Deakin degree that you complete in Australia.

Take the first step towards your dream degree at Deakin College. Based on campus, Deakin College provides a supportive and smooth pathway to a world-class degree at Deakin University.

Successfully complete the Diploma of Engineering and transition directly to a second-year bachelor degree at Deakin.

Postgraduate pathways

Complete the first three to three and a half years of a Bachelor of Technology at Vellore Institute of Technology or Manipal Institute of Technology in India. You can then transfer to the Master of Engineering (Professional) at Deakin.
