You'll have the opportunity to live in a self-contained studio apartment, while enjoying access to large communal kitchen spaces, a decking area with BBQ facilities, large common areas and lounge rooms, and multiple study halls – all under the one roof.

Note: Deakin Residential Services Warrnambool Campus can also provide accommodation to DeakinCloud, South West TAFE and visiting placement students or exam accommodation.

24 hour on-site security with additional Residential Guard outside business hours, clean of communal areas three times per week, access to all recreational facilities and a comprehensive program of activities.

What’s in the room?
Bed, mattress protector, bookshelves, study desk and chair, TV, data point, built-in wardrobe, heater and fan, ensuite bathroom, kitchenette with electric cooktop, top-mount fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster.

Where do I do my washing?
There’s a communal laundry in Hopkins View. Washing machines, dryers and an ironing station are available to residents free of charge (laundry supplies not included).

Do I need cleaning equipment?
You can borrow a vacuum cleaner, broom, mop, and dustpan with brush from reception.

Programs and events

Deakin Residential Services Warrnambool and DUSA work collaboratively to provide students with a wide range of inclusive and safe, social, community, cultural, health and wellbeing programs. Events include fancy dress theme nights, yoga by the river, Cold Rock ice cream evenings, lawn bowls, water activities, petting zoos, off-campus experiences and local tours. The annual residential red carpet and musical production are a highlight of the social calendar.

Students also have access to academic support via study halls, which provide faculty mentoring on a weekly basis, encouraging and promoting collaborative learning.
