Our door is open for everyone! Whether you're preparing for life after high school or you're in the workforce wanting a career change, why not come along to see how Deakin could shape your future? Open Day is a rare opportunity to chat with real Deakin students about their university experience, see our campuses buzzing with activity, and have your study questions answered by course experts. Plus, there's heaps of fun things to do, free entertainment and great food between the serious stuff!

Deakin prides itself on being an inclusive place for all who want to learn and grow as humans. We're committed to providing campus areas that everyone can enjoy, along with a website and course material that everyone can utilise.

There will be heaps to see and do at Open Day. You can join campus tours run by student ambassadors, information sessions hosted by course experts and presentations focusing on all topics, from science to cyber security.

On the day

You can enter the Burwood campus from Elgar Road or Burwood Highway, with free car parking on both sides. You can walk from one side of the campus to the other, so just park where it’s most convenient and discover the Burwood campus on foot.

Free parking is available across all other campuses and in nearby streets.

Our campus wayfinding app, Deakin Scout – which you can download now – will help you navigate our campuses. And if you still get lost, don't worry, one of our friendly student ambassadors will point you in the right direction.

Get the Deakin wayfinding app on Google Play

Or you can download our campus maps:

We'll have plenty of student ambassadors around campus to answer any of your questions or point you in the right direction – they'll be wearing bright pink shirts, so you can't miss them!

You can also visit the Career and Course Information Centre to ask more specific questions around sessions that may be happening on a topic that interests you.

After the day

We have a specialised ATAR calculator that can help you estimate what score you might receive. We also have a tool for Year 12 students where you can enter your ATAR and get filtered results of all the degrees you could apply for – pretty handy!

Don’t worry if the degree you’re hoping for doesn't show up. You can talk to our staff about your pathway options and make your dream course a reality.

Of course! We regularly hold campus tours and your school is welcome to book a visit for you and your friends. You’re also welcome to take a look around the grounds at your own pace during study periods – if a question pops into your mind while you’re there, just swing past Student Central to get your questions answered.
