Biography summary
My main areas of interest are political economy, economic development, and international relations in the Asia-Pacific region. I have a particular interest in the history and politics of the Korean peninsula. My first book focused on the politics of rapid growth in South Korea (Routledge, 2009), and my second one identified the varieties of capitalism in Asia (Palgrave, 2017). My current project is a study of Korean migrants in Australia.
