Biography
Lauren is a mid-career researcher with a clinical background in critical care. She completed her undergraduate, honours and PhD at Deakin with the latter examining patient participation in treatment following cardiac surgery. As Associate Head of School (Teaching and Learning) in the School of Nursing and Midwifery she leads teaching and learning in the School. Lauren has over 18 years of experience in facilitating the learning of both undergraduate and post-graduate nursing students.

Teaching interests
Lauren teaches in the undergraduate nursing courses in the areas of quality and safety in healthcare, research and acute care nursing practices. She also supervises PhD, Masters and Honours degree students.
