Research Professional is a comprehensive global database of funding opportunities covering all scholarly disciplines from a wide range of funders in Australia and overseas. It allows you to create searches, save them, set up alerts, and add them to your calendar. Annual Reports - Annual reports for all companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange dating back to 1992.

Board Room - Information on directors and senior executives for companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Company prospectus - IPO (Initial Public Offering) documents which have been lodged with the Australian Stock Exchange since 1994.

LexisNexis AU - Full text of subscribed services including reported and unreported judgments, and journal articles.

Westlaw AU - Full text access to legislation, case law, commentary, journals.

CCH Australia - Full text of selected CCH looseleaf services and report series.

AustLII (Australasian Legal Information Institute) - Provides free online access to Australasian legal materials. Includes LawCite case citator. Unrestricted access.

International Law Databases

LexisNexis - International database of case law, statutes and journal articles. Covers all fields of law.

Thomson Reuters Westlaw - Large database with both International (US, UK and Canadian) and Australian coverage. Includes Commonwealth Law Reports.

WorldLII - Free online access to international case law and legislation.

Research Methods Database

SAGE Research Methods - SAGE Research Methods is a tool to support your research needs as you design, select and apply a method. Containing over 100,000 pages of book, journal and reference content from leading SAGE authors, SRMO supports independent researchers at all levels.

Citation/Indexing Databases


Scopus – the citation database from Elsevier.Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature: scientific journals, books and conference proceedings, covering Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Social Sciences. In Scopus, you will be able to:


SCImago– the journal ranking database from Elsevier. It ranks journals in the Scopus database. Its main impact metric, SCImago Journal Ranking (SJR) indicator calculates, not only the number of citations to articles in journals, but also takes into account the ‘quality’ of the citing journal. SCImago is a free web portal which includes the journals and country scientific indicators developed from the information contained in the Scopus database.

Web of Science Core Collection

Web of Science Core Collection – the citation database from Thomson Reuters. As a world leading citation database, it covers over 12,000 of the highest impact journals worldwide, including Open Access journals and over 150,000 conference proceedings. You will find current and retrospective coverage int eh sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities, with coverage to 1900.

Journal Citation Reports

Journal Citation Reports – the journal ranking database from Thomson Reuters. It ranks journal based on its world famous ciation metic Journal Imapct Factor from Web of Science Core Collection. It consists of two editions: 1) Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) provides impact factors for over 7,300 journals in science & technology; 2) Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) provides impact factors for over 2,200 journals in the social sciences.

Research Analytics


Incites – the research analytics database from Thomson Reuters. It allows you to analyse individual and institutional research productivity and benchmark your research output against peers worldwide. With its robust visualization and reporting tools, you can create and share in depth performance reports.

Sci Val

SciVal – the research analytics database from Elsevier. You can analyse and benchmark individual and institutional research performance against 7,500 research institutions and 220 nations worldwide. You can also explore the collaboration network for both your institution and other institutions worldwide. NB: you can access SciVal via Scopus platform.
