For students enrolled in Business and Law courses only

IMPORTANT INFORMATION (please read before completing this form):

Students may apply for up to 3 compulsory trimesters (1 academic year) of standard intermission on StudentConnect.

Students requesting further periods of intermission must apply to the Faculty Academic Progress Committee (FAPC) via this application form.

Your application must include the following:

  • Detailed reason(s) why you are unable to undertake studies in the trimester(s)/semester(s) that you wish to further intermit
  • Appropriate documentation to support your request ((for example, medical certificate or letter of support from a medical professional where medical reasons are cited; letter of support from employer if employment reasons are cited).

The outcome of this application will be conveyed to you in writing by email. If your application is approved, you will not need to withdraw from any currently enrolled units - this will be processed for you.
