Overview

The SOM Histology facility (incorporating Electron Microscopy) is managed by Megan Ellis and is located at the Metabolic Research Unit (MRU), building NB on the Waurn Ponds campus . Here we offer comprehensive training and education on all things histology related. We are also here to provide help and guidance, experimental design and protocol support. Training is provided on all equipment including processing and paraffin embedding, microtome and cryostat.

All users must be familiar with the booking rules, associated usage costs, usage guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs). For more information please do not hesitate to contact us.
