The Deakin bus services operate Monday to Friday and are free, convenient and sustainable modes of transport. There are a few different options available to Deakin students and staff.

In Geelong, there are two locations where students and staff can park their car (for free!) and catch the free bus to complete their journey. You’ll just need to show your Deakin ID card as you get on a Deakin bus.
The first location is Try Boys stadium in East Geelong, serviced by the Waterfront Express. Alternatively, you can park at Barwon Valley Activity Centre, which is a stop on the Intercampus Shuttle Bus route. Information for both locations is below.
Take the pressure out of trying to find a car park in the Geelong CBD. Deakin’s express bus service to the Waterfront campus operates Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:15pm.The bus departs from the Try Boys Basketball Stadium at 501 Ryrie St, East Geelong (near the corner of Portarlington and Boundary Roads) and travels to the Waterfront campus. The service runs as a continuous loop all day – approximately every 30 minutes!
Students and staff can park for free at Barwon Valley Activity Centre (BVAC), located at 1 Barwon Heads Road, Belmont (opposite Kmart). The Deakin shuttle buses will take you directly to either the Geelong Waterfront or Waurn Ponds campuses.
Our shuttle buses service the BVAC car park Monday to Friday from 7:05am to 8:30pm (excluding University holidays).
In Burwood, the 201 bus route runs directly between Deakin and Box Hill bus port and train station. This service is operated by Public Transport Victoria, so you’ll need a Myki card to travel on it.
There may be times that passenger demand exceeds seating capacity. We do our best to accommodate everyone, but this is not always possible. The alternative options are to wait a short time for the next bus, carpool with others or utilise the public transport bus service.
