Warrnambool City Council Scholarship

The Warrnambool City Council would like to support a student who lives in the Warrnambool or South West Victorian region and is studying on the Warrnambool campus.

Eligibility criteria

All conditions must be met

  • An Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • a commencing student enrolled for the first time at Deakin University in your first year of your undergraduate bachelor degree in Trimester 1 2016 at the Warrnambool campus
  • be enrolled full time in a Commonwealth supported place
  • currently live in the Warrnambool region or South West Victoria and have lived there for 2 or more years
  • able to demonstrate you are in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink benefit or have a personal or combined family taxable income below the HECS-HELP repayment threshold, depending on independence status.

Selection criteriaYour application will be assessed and ranked based on the information you provide in your application and supporting documentation.
Special conditionsIn accepting this scholarship, you will be required to provide a written report to the donor at the end of the year.
Opening and closing datesApplications for Trimester 1 2016 open 7 March 2016 and close 28 March 2016 at 5pm.

As part of the application process you will also be required to provide supporting documentation. You must email your supporting documents with your applicant ID number in the subject line to scholarship-docs@deakin.edu.au no later than the closing date of the scholarship.
