Resources to assist you with tasks such as participating in discussions, viewing announcements and using eLive. (Please note: Not all tools will be available in all units.)
Discussions: post and reply to messages on certain topics asynchronously. There are three types of discussion topics: Threaded, Class blog and Journal.
Announcements: access important notices from the teachers in your unit.
Mail: communicate with other people in your unit.
Calendar: schedule key dates and events.
eLive: talk synchronously over the Internet, chat online, share video and use whiteboards.

Netiquette
The online environment is great for 'networking' and getting to know one another, and the rules of common courtesy or 'netiquette' apply here as they do in any classroom or public area. The netiquette section on the Deakin Learning Toolkit is essential reading for anyone communicating online.
